FAQ
  • Why does campaign creation take so long?

    Increasing the density and variety of map commodities, increasing starter provinces, and adding new workshops all make the world generation take longer. There's no way around this, the more you increase these things the longer it's going to take.

  • Why is it in UK English?

    The mod uses UK English instead of US English to better fit the pirate-y age of sail theme of the game, especially since vanilla uses aluminium instead of aluminum. Corn Whiskey uses the US spelling since it's a uniquely American drink.

  • Why does the starter/tutorial quest have me buy a larger ship still?

    I haven't changed any of the dialog, and starter quests can be skipped, if you're modding the game it's likely you already know the basics, while the starter quest makes less sense with the changes it should still work.

  • Why does the council take so long to vote on a new workshop?

    Council vote requirement is tied to province level, and max province level has been increased to 60 making it require three times the votes as the vanilla 20 to decide, since I've also added more workshops the votes are more likely to be split between different workshops. A workaround for this is to turn on "Edit Provinces" when creating or editing the campaign settings, this will allow the owner of the campaign to choose workshops for NPC provinces they visit.

Known Issues
  • Overlapping Workshop icons

    That's just the way the game works, I don't know how to change it or if it can be changed. It's a minor issue since the workshops all still work properly, just harder to make out which workshops larger provinces have from the world map.

  • Internal Cannons and Armor do not count towards side DPS and side armor points

    Again that's just the way the game works and I don't know how to change it or if it's possible to. They still contribute to the overall stats.
