Great Houses Feedback and discussion
I'm in dire need of feedback on the Great Houses Civic/Origin.
I'm not really sure where to take it and what kind of content it needs to improve. The House traits themselves obviously need some polish to work. The system itself also needs some work in general. It just seems less interesting than I thought it'd be and idk if making it work like I imagined is worth the time or even possible.

Also the issue of the factions sometimes spawning all at once... I have no idea how to fix it since I need to fight the the Stellaris backend, which I can't change or even see, to mitigate it the best I can. I can't even manually spawn the factions, I need to kindly ask the backend to *maybe* spawn them for me. For some mysterious reason the way the game implements factions on a technical level is genuinely horrendous to work with, more so than it would seem at first glance. It's probably more esoteric than anything else I've encountered while modding Stellaris.

Everything's on the table, even scrapping the whole thing, even though I put two dozen hours into making it work at all. What do you guys think?

I like the origin. I would make it player only though (right now I've seen at least 4 AI empires in my Large galaxy spawn with it), or at least turn down the frequency.

The house traits are probably my favorite part. Instead of actual factions, it might be easier to just work with a Situation (similar to what Dune: Desert Power does https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3584034119).

Faction demands would mainly be handled through events instead, and there doesn't need to be an actual faction to represent them since you can use the situation instead.
