White corridor update
I found the entrance to downcorridor in the white corridor map, and getting in is an experience to say the least... you'll know what i mean when it happens... just know you won't get in on your first try.

I have never passed this fairly. It's very difficult to escape from James, so you either look for an abuses or spend a lot of time waiting for the right moment to get out.

i actually did beat it Legitimately.

Heres my tips:

1: DO NOT STAY STILL
the worst thing you can do is stay in one place for to long. The biggest tell if hes nearby is if words start appearing on your screen.

2: Pick up the keys in james room.
James room is the room that was caged off earlier before you triggered james. once james is active you can go back there and grab the keys. Its easiest to snag em right at the start of the encounter as james tends to break all the doors on the side of the maze where he came from so once hes out of the way you can slip in there and snag them.

3: Lurk in the hallways.
Lurking in the hallways is a double edged sword. from what i can tell the james encounter has 2 phases. Phase one is before you get the first door open. and phase 2 begins when you start opening the door.
In phase 1 james seems to stay in the maze so the hallways around the maze are more save during this phase, But its not full proof. Staying out of the maze to long will cause him to come looking for you in the halls. Also note that all the gates in the hallways are also locked. so you gotta be careful to not get cornered.
In phase 2 james seems to lurk around the areas outside the the maze area more often. he also checks the checkpoint behind the first door and he can enter it no matter how far along the door is to opening. He also can break into the backroom of the checkpoint. Though he seems to only do this once per encounter. so if the door to the backroom of the checkpoint are kicked down. that means you can take a breather in there. But don't stay to long because like rule 1 says always stay moving.

4: lurking in maze:
during phase 2 when james is in the halls. you can take a breather in the maze. Just make sure your in the back corner area with no doors nearby. so you can react accordingly once he renters the maze.

5: movement pattern:
I do not really understand james movements. he seems to swap between moving fast and slow on a dime. the key is to always try to be in the room he isn't in. Lurk there for a minute and then try to move to your objective. He also seems to Vanish/ teleport when moving between the maze and hallways. i could be mistaken.

6: Door breaking.
James seems to hate doors. and at the start of the encounter he actually does have a pattern.
first he breaks entrance nearest to the start of the level. He then goes back up the hallways and breaks the door nearest his secret room. then he enters the maze and begins to break the doors opposite to the side with no doors. He usually does this right away at the start of the encounter. what your really waiting for is for him to break the door nearest the escape door.
though he tends to wait around a little before doing it. When the screen flashes pink that indicates jame's has destroyed a door. so its good to check to see if hes opened that door you needed. Also note that james can also destroy some cubical walls in the maze. i have only seen a single broken wall but that doesn't mean there are not other possible ones. During phase 2 james will start destroying hallway gates. opening up the hallways more. which is good. But still best to steer clear of the hallways if james is not in the maze area.

7: JAMES IS THICC
Yes... James hit hitbox is a lot larger than you'd think. If your standing behind a cubical wall and james is directly on the other side of it. /then he will get you. Keep your distance.

8: Make a save:
In your gmod menu make a save right before you pick up the key card that starts the encounter so you can retry faster. Press Q and go to the saves tab. on the left side there should be a option to save. then you can reload it from that same menu. saving during the encounter will glitch the map so you sadly cannot save scum james.

yeah Its difficult but not impossible if your careful. i haven't done much testing so take this advice with grain a grain of salt.
