Based on user feedback, certain close range weapons are overly imbalanced, often cause accidental deaths of key NPCs. After careful consideration, we have redesigned the performance of several close range weapons:
1. Viper 5
While addressing the issue of excessively low pistol damage, the Viper 5, as a weapon using pistol ammunition, also gained significant damage benefits, which has seriously disrupted the balance. We have decided to reduce the damage of the Viper 5 while improving its other attributes:
• Range: 100 → 200 ↑
• Base damage: 0.31 → 0.19 ↓
• Bullet spread: 0.25 → 0.22 ↓
• Base recoil: 0.4 → 0.35 ↓
• Additional recoil: 0.2 → 0.14 ↓
• Durability loss per round: 0.05% → 0.01% ↓
• Jam rate: 5% → 2% ↓
The adjusted Viper 5 has a longer TTK but focuses more on overall performance.
2. BM16 (Sawed-off Shotgun)
As one of the beneficiaries of the previous balance adjustments, the sawed-off shotgun has decent damage. However, we forgot to increase its bullet spread and shorten its range. It should only have lethality at close range. We have decided to adjust its range and spread, and limit its firing rate:
• Range: 50 → 13 ↓
• Bullet spread: 0.5 → 1.0 ↑
• Bullet velocity: 400 → 100 ↓
• Fire rate: 500 → 280 ↓
The sawed-off shotgun still dominates at close range, but it should not occupy the position of TOZ 34, which is reward for side mission.
3. Viper 5 (Suppressed Special Version)
This will be the only submachine gun whose damage has not been reduced because we are planning to do something interesting, such as this suppressed MP5 dropped by famous fraudster Vampire:
• Firing modes: 1/3/auto → 1/3 ↓
• Fire rate: 800 → 950 ↑
• Firing interval: 200 → 50 ↓
If we keep its amazing lethality, we have to limit the firing rhythm.
3. Viper 5 (9x18 Special Version)
The MP5 9x18 special version, with a 50-round drum magazine, 900rpm fire rate, and amazing lethality, is obviously an "escapee" in the previous balance adjustment. We have decided to make a PP-Bizon with appearance of Viper 5, reducing its damage, improving accuracy and magazine capacity, while keeping the fire rate at 900rpm unchanged:
• Damage: 30 → 15 ↓
• Magazine capacity: 50 → 64 ↑
• Bullet spread: 0.25 → 0.15 ↓
Go ahead and spray all the 9x18 bullets you stock in personal box! We could now play CSGO in the zone, and RUSH B!
4. Further Enhancement of 5.45
Considering that the fire rate of most 5.45 firearms is generally lower than that of the 5.56 series, we will again increase the damage of all weapons firing 5.45x39 bullets by 10 to enhance the excitement of battles. We stalkers also have our own MAGA:
