Half-Life 2

Half-Life 2 Vanilla Plus Mods & Fixes
The collection is very good, but it has some very annoying problems
The collection is really good, and feels like a direct improvement over the vanilla game experience while respecting the original aesthetic and direction. However, it has some bugs that, at least, occurred to me, which I'll detail below:

- In episode one, right after emerging victorious from the battle in the dark area while waiting for the elevator, once the next map loads, for some reason Alyx wouldn't leave the elevator, and the valve that was supposed to open the door where the other valve to exit that area is located, for some reason didn't work. I mean, I turned the valve, but the door wouldn't open at all.

- In Episode 2, the vortigaunt that's supposed to follow you through the Antlion caves once you've won the battle against the large horde of them. When I loaded the map, the vortigaunt would stop and not follow me at all. Exactly similar behavior occurred right after loading the "Freeman Pontifex" chapter, as Alyx didn't spawn, only the vort.

- In the same episode, right after leaving the barn where we meet the advisor in his capsule, for some reason, there were two Jalopys when we exited instead of one. When I reached the section where the car breaks down after crashing into some doors, the doors simply wouldn't open no matter how much I crashed into them.

In all these cases, the only solution I found was to load the next map via the console, or if it was the start of a new chapter, load it from the New Game section, selecting the chapter in question. In short, the characters' behavior seemed to be completely broken, and continuing from a previous save point was useless. The only thing that managed to "reset" their behavior and make everything work as expected was loading the map from the console or the Select Chapter section. This made it impossible to complete the achievement by taking the gnome from the start of the game to the White Forest rocket.

I'm sorry for writing too much, but I just want to help fix these errors in case the culprit is a faulty mod from the collection or something like that. And in case you're wondering, no, I didn't have any other mods besides those from this collection. I truly enjoyed replaying all of Half-Life 2 and its episodes, but these details made the experience somewhat bitter for me, and at times I found myself truly frustrated.
