Books!
So, books!

What does reading a book do? Does it simply add experience? I read in the mod description that books might also give focus points - do they grant freely assignable FPs, or FPs assigned to the skills the book is about? And if the latter - what if the skill already had five FPs assigned?

I bought a book for 30k and can't use it. I would also want to know just what the hell the scroll/books are supposed to be used :(

You need to wait outside a settlement. Next to the fast forward buttons there is another called make camp or something along those lines. This opens another menu where you will find a button to select book to read. You can also assign companions to read books as well but only one can read each book at one time so you gotta share them around.
