Suggestion: Alternate ending; refuse to ascend as the Behemoth and continue as your empire and drop the Behemoth Transference modifier organically.
For the suggestion, it gets a bit unwieldy to keep layering more options onto the event since there are already 4 (and I think it'd be a little bit of a flavor fail given the interpretation of the victory in the events, where your pops basically all go brain-dead).
It would be easy to remove Behemoth Transference once the win conditions are met though, allowing players who want to keep playing as their empire to do so by simply not completing the Ascension special project.
Example, imagine you get handed a plate full of rocks, surely you wouldn't eat that, but now there's spices and grass on it, now your mind changes and you want to eat it.
So yeah, if you can add the feature of eating other things than just colonizable worlds, it would be nice. Thanks!
For this mod, at least, I mostly just wanted to rebalance the economic effects of the crisis and emphasize going around eating things with the Behemoth, rather than dramatically change how it interacts with the galaxy. But perhaps that'll be something to look at more as a setting or something of the sort in the future.
Evereal and I are working on another Behemoth mod that will be more transformative, and that could be something to think about (although development of that is on hiatus for the duration of the Modjam, since we are participating!)
