Now im not much of a puzzle person to be honest, i enjoy blue prince but ive watched so many videos from other players usually they don't get a lot of it either or they say something that sparks an idea and i go from there or they end up solving it and as they walk through everything.
This is pretty rough to go through and honestly your in game hints are lacking to say the least, many players won't even know what a nonogram is, and even if they do this variation doesn't really say hey im a nonogram and that one hint that i found on the island about the pylons and lights doesn't really help.
I ended up going to reddit which directed me here and someone else mentioned nonogram which honestly didn't crosss my mind when I saw this an told me to look them up and even still this just doesn't click like other nonograms.
It being in a 3d space doesn't quite help either to be honest..
Not every puzzle needs to be solvable by every player, this is specifically designed to be a non-blocking fun experience for anyone who is familiar with nonograms. Anyone who has done them before should instantly recognize this layout, including a sizable audience of people who have played PICROSS and similar games.
It was clever but a bit too clever
