Do you think this doesn't suit spy's main gameplay?
Well, Spy is supposed sneaky but I do see the point of this. To sneak up on foes with distance however what about in battle? What spot is it going to take? If it's going to take the cloak spot, Spy would have a whole new tactic because it's taking away difference from the Spy to make him more normal. The only thing is the backstabs and headshots with the ambassor. Otherwise spy would a lame class with boring tactics.

I sure don't think so. I think this would make a better shotgun, beacause umbrellas are pump-action.

Yeah, but shotguns aren't for spys, I think this should be for a different class if it's a shotgun.

make it a revolver, it open up if held and in the air to give a BASE jumper effect, don't have to press mouse 2 so it won't effect the cloak

Yeah, but wouldn't it mean you would be wasting your ammo by holding the mouse button 1 rather mouse button 2. I like your idea however there would be a downfall you couldn't cloak while using it.

What I mean is that if you're JUST holding the gun and then start falling then it activates and you get a slowfall until you land or switch weapons, like the spycicle, it activates if you just hold it and are on fire

How about when you fire it, the umbrella opens, and then when you realese the attack button, the umbrealla retracts and reloads at the same time

couldn't it be something as simple as when you have the gun out, holding space gives the same effect as the BASE jumper?
i think it should be silent, but with no random crits, and it should have less damage.

The effect would have to be much weaker, otherwise there would be no reason to get the base jumper as opposed to the umbrella

but this is just for spy, base jumper is just for demo and soldier

I'm guessing, with the "floating" idea, that you will not be able to cloak during that time thus making the spy vunerable. Since the spy's health is so low, it would be a nightmare for spies to use. In General, this is a good idea but it would never work in my opinion. It's just too impractical.
