I know this probally stupid but how about a bleeding affect per hit on the target because a couple of years ago( not sure how long ago) an author was killed by a mysterious assassin that used an umbrella gun to poison him(he died after a couple of agonizing days in the hospital).They found the umbrella gun but to this day no one knows who the killer was.
