Here's a Fix.

For the problem: The little white program thingy is being downloaded outside of its folder. If you go into your Civ5/MOD folder, you can simply drag the white file (at the bottom) into its folder and it will work correctly!

Also, whenever I open the Civ5 folder there simply IS no MOD folder within.

Old thread, but it's in Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/MODS folder usually

Thank you so much, this has fixed not only this mod, but also several other mods that were functioning improperly.

File is 40K Imperium of Man. Turn it into a zip file from a .civ5mod then unzip. if your getting errors preventing you from unzipping VIA right-click > unzip and quickly opening it in 7zip then open 7zip file manager and navigate there (This happened to me. no clue why it was invalid when trying to open)

No matter what I do, I cannot select the Emperor as a leader when I set up a game, the option is not there. The mod shows up and is enabled after following Darke Strykerr's instructions and that caused the game to provide the option of enabling this mod in the mod menu. Once I go to set up a game, The Imperium of Man is not a choice I can select. Does anyone know what's wrong or have some advice?

To fix the missing factory production yields for the Adeptus Mechanicus building, you will have to go to the Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\40K Imperium of Man (v 5)\XML\Building folder and edit the Imperial_Buildings.xml with a text editor of your choice.

Find the Building_ResourceQuantity definition and paste the following code below the
</Building_ResourceQuantity>

<Building_YieldChanges> <Row> <BuildingType>BUILDING_ADEPTUS_MECHANICUS</BuildingType> <YieldType>YIELD_PRODUCTION</YieldType> <Yield>4</Yield> </Row> </Building_YieldChanges> <Building_YieldModifiers> <Row> <BuildingType>BUILDING_ADEPTUS_MECHANICUS</BuildingType> <YieldType>YIELD_PRODUCTION</YieldType> <Yield>10</Yield> </Row> </Building_YieldModifiers>

While you're at it, you can also hide the Leader bonus from the Civilopedia by modifying the FaithCost of the BUILDING_DUMMY_FAITH to -1 and the PrereqTech to the code below:

Took me a while but got this mod working - here's some tips that helped me

  • MODS folder is located in C:\Users\<your user>\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS (and not the Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V folder)
  • The 40K Imperium of Man.civ5mod file incorrectly downloads into the MODS folder, so i moved it into the MODS/40K Imperium of Man (v 5) folder
  • I took a copy and renamed it as a Zip file
  • Windows zip couldn't deal with it but 7zip let me extract the files
  • Finally, after selecting the mods in the mods menu, remember to select "Single Player" rather than going back to the Main Menu (this one caught me out :steamfacepalm:)
