My suggestions: Humans instantly vaporising like in the movie. Cages, tendrils and probe. The martians inside the machines as well as the option to make them exit. Option to make it crouch. A walk cycle. lights shattering if it dies. Disabling the sidelights option. An uberpod.

when you spawn one in, they're hidden until you strike the area you spawned them in with lightening, it'll probably be more immersive ig

Make the width of the laser resizable or make the whole thing bigger. The official size is 30 meters but yours barely reaches 23 also the membrane lights should turn off/on.
