Sound issue
The sound has a LOUD static-like flavor. It's horrible.

Same problam affects the Battlecannon, Scattercannon, and Afterburner mods, all versions of each weapon. It is by far the worst on the Battlecannons though, where the entire sound consists of this LOUD ear-bleeding unchanging static that lasts for several awful seconds, and nothing else.

It occurs regardless of any other mod installed, or not installed. I can't find any cause or fix.

Hi Tiger. I prefer to discuss these things in the comments section, I almost entirely missed your post here. I'll try to help you as much as I am able before I actually get back to working on the files in a few days time.

Let me start by saying this isn't a consistent issue. The majority of players are experiencing the CSD weapons as intended. Some players experience the white-noise static, and a number of those attribute it to a conflicting mod installation, citing that the problem was resolved upon removing said mods. Others claim the issue is fixed by entirely deleting and reinstalling the CSD mods.

Yours is the first case I have heard of that doesn't attribute the audio issues to a conflicting mod. Since that rules out one of our potential temporary fixes, I would suggest you delete the mods from your user\username\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Mods\ directory (you can find out the corresponding .sbc file numbers by loading up the game and looking in the mod menu - mouse over to see the right number and make a note of it. alternatively, delete all files and your game will download fresh copied of every mod you are subscribed to). Then, when you launch your game, you'll have a fresh installation of these mods.

Please let me know if this changes anything. If not, I apologise profusely, but there is nothing I can do until I get back to my workstation in a number of days. I appreciate your patience, and doubly appreciate your feedback.

I've noticed that comments tend to get ignored or quickly buried and missed, while a discussion topic sticks better and is more visible. It's my hope that these topics will help others who have the sound problem too, since the title for the topic appears right above where a user would post a comment.

That folder only contains .sbm files... not .sbc files. Is that what you mean? I'll try it anyway.

No effect.
The sound remains the same horrible static in all your mods, even after deleting those files and downloading fresh ones.

Yeah, .sbm files. I'm sorry that didn't work. There currently is no fix for this issue, so having a discussion topic, whether or not it's visible, doesn't help anyone.

None of my comments go ignored, rest assured. It takes seconds at most to search the comments to see if something has been said, seconds I'm sure people won't mind spending if they have an issue they'd like to resolve. I'm very sorry that you're having these problems with my mods, and while I wish there was something to be done, there just isn't. Until I personally rework the audio files, the white noise will remain. It's out of the players' control. And, as I've stated, I will not be able to work on my mods for a number of days yet.

My only suggestion is to avoid using my mods until such a time. If that's unacceptable, turn off your game audio.

Note to anyone hoping this thread would be helpful in any way: Sorry. It isn't. I appreciate your patience in this matter, as it's my free time I'm spending to bring you these mods. Thanks.
