will take alook and test it all out what level were your principes and how many did you have attacking one unit the reason i ask is so i can recreate the same kind of battle thanks
The test was 1 thespian hoplite (general unit) against 3 principes each with one silver rank
i was rome and the ai played the thespians.
to keep it simple i just charged in with the 3 units, and found that even though the thespians put up a good fight and had formed a hoplite wall they got slammed and routed with about 35 men left in the unit.
casulties for the roman units were
the first unit to make contact lost about 60 men
the second about 35
and the third about 20
so in conclusion i dont think they are invincible they got slammed from a frontal assault by 3 well trianed units if i were to hit them from the sides or rear the would fold pretty quick. but with that being said you are obviously having an issue so what other mods are you running?
