Making Build 42 Work: New Slayer Bandit Update
So, the requirements for this mod haven't updated to include the new Bandit2 mod. I have come up with a solution that seems to work until this mod is patched by the mod owner. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO RESTART YOUR GAME IF YOU ARE ALREADY RUNNING THE MENU

What you need:
-A text Editor (notepad, notepad++, vsCode, whatever you use)

Navigate to this mod's info file for b42. If you saved it in the default place, it should be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3437564748\mods\Wasted\42\mod.info

Update line for to:
require=\Bandits2,\BanditsWeekOne

SAVE.

Reload your mods list and enable this mod :).

Hello, I've followed this guide but it still won't let me install the mod. has something changed since this was posted? i replaced the original line with the one listed here, but the mod insists that it still requires "bandits" instead.

Unless "reloading your mods list" is different from "Restarting the game" in which case i've no clue how to do that.

hey! Nothing has changed! reloading the mod list can be as simple as disabling an old mod or reenabling a new one. You can also reload your lua by what you said: restarting the game. if neither of those options worked for you, id recommend making sure the file saved correctly (close your text editor and reopen the file to make sure the changes are the way you wanted them)

My apologies, dyslexia decided that looking in the folder clearly told to me (42) wasn't important enough to register the eight times i reread the listed location for the change. Thank you for putting up with me.

Same thing for me here. My line 4 appears exactly as described ("require=\Bandits2,\BanditsWeekOne") and even after reloading Lua and rinsing and repeating the process, I'm still getting the red X of death, despite confirming that line 4 is correct. Any recommendations?

Be sure that you're in the correct folder, there is a folder named 42 that is one deeper and that is the one you change. The Mod.info file exists in one folder above 42 as well and that was the one i had been editing by accident.
