[Major issue]da Crash
This issue has haunted the project for a while, and is a tough one to troubleshoot. For one thing, MCC doesn't provide a debug log that's useful to average people. Another problem is the fact that it is very difficult to replicate the issue on command.

My issue is that I need to find out -exactly- what to cut, without gimping the experience too much. In the interest of narrowing down the most common scenario that causes this, I'd like to ask people to reply, with as much detail as you can recall, the exact gameplay scenario that happened at the moment of the crash, whether it is plasma stuck elite, AI dodging, a dropped weapon, an explosion, whatever. Each little bit of data helps.

Each of my crashes seemed to have happened out of no where, no warning. Just recently (as in a minute ago) I threw a plasma 'nade then it crashed. I had 3 in 30 minutes. 1st one was due to grenade spawning (turned it off) second one was due to...nothing? I shot an elite and he died as normal then crashed for no reason, and 3rd one was the one as mentioned. I gave up on playing the mod because of that.
Had a crash happen during the timed lifeboat section, got past the pipe room who's blast doors open to horde of grunts, a handful of elites, and a few hunters using a 3-4 rockets, cleaned up afew scattered grunts down the smaller halls, then got to a L-intersection hall with some marines and the resulting fight between us and the covenant caused a crash. I think it specifically happened after I fired a rocket launcher amid intermittent enemy plasma grenade explosions. Had only default map settings and Heroic enabled while playing solo.


It wouldnt fix all potential crashing problems but I can definitely see where a clever BSP load and deload could be done during the escape sequence's rooms and halls to clean out any rendering/used up scripts/entity indexs in memory from the main rounds' arena. Unsure how much it would help but it would likely atleast narrow the scope of probable crash causes to report to 2 distinct "level halves" while not impacting the level experience much at all.

I second some sort of sequence to allow a clean up in background, it's a great mission but gets gimped by the crashes.
