Bug Reports
READ BEFORE REPORTING
Before you report, please let me know the following so I have the best chances of helping fix the issue:
  • Are you on REPENTOGON, Repentance, or Repentance+?
  • Have you pirated the game? If so, have you made sure you're on the right version? You should be on 1.7.9b.J385
  • Do you have Mod Error Container? (Not needed for REPENTOGON)
  • Are you subscribed to the original Birthcake mod? If so, please unsubscribe, as both mods cannot be enabled at the same time
  • If there's an error present, please copy paste it into your message (REPENTOGON allows this, but it should also be visible if you open the debug console non-RGON and copy it manually)

So long as you follow the list above, I'll gladly assist in any issues you have ran into.

EID for Apollyon's cake seems to have some problems.
It will says "... as long as Void is held%s chance to duplicate the voided trinket"
the chance cannot display normally
and the problem exists even disabled all other mods except EID & RGON

Ah, whoopsie. I made it so it added that extra string regardless if the current multiplier. It should only show up/update properly if you have any multipliers (Mom's Box/Golden). Fixed and will be pushed soon, thanks!

I have no idea if this is just me, but when I pick up an item, my game crashes shortly after the pickup animation. I checked the logs and on the bottom it says the issue is the Retribution mod and some trinkets. I am currently looking through the logs and for whatever reason it says: "[INFO] - ERR: ...aked_3422741957/src_birthcake/utility/birthcake_util.lua:62: attempt to index a nil value (local 'player')" when it is trying and/or running the Lua script of the main.lua from retribution. I am not really sure why this is happening, but it appeared out of nowhere.

I tested it and it happened the second I loaded up a run with Retribution. I'm not sure what the exact cause was, but I added a bunch of "make sure the player exists" safety checks and the error is no longer there. Appreciate the report!

T.Isaac's cake could steal the item from shop/devil room for free

Oh yeah, definitely an oversight on my end is all. Fixed for the next update!

I am on repentance + and the birthcake always sais "doesn't seem to be for someone in particular" and do nothing (maybe is the new version of repentance + that went live today but i don't know cause i installed this mod today)

and the sprite is extremely small too

Yeah thats definitely default behavior as if none of the code of the mod was loaded. I loaded up Rep+ with the latest patch (confirmed it was, since Mars has the funny knockback/shockwave thing) but it seems to be loading up just fine?

it still deosn't work so i don't know if i did something wrong but pushing a green button saying subscribe is an easy wa of downloading something so i don't know how i could have messed it up

the mod seems to have compatibility issues with fiend folio, as with it installed, the Shirk enemy completely breaks, acting like a fire that once damaged enough, becomes completely invincible and constantly makes fire breaking sound effects while still being able to shoot

Played the Birthday Challenge and the game crashes as soon as I finish the Mom fight. The door to the ascent also doesn't appear in the starting room, but I don't know if that's intentional.

Ascent Door not spawning it intentional because thats how challenges work, and I teleport you to the Pre-Ascent Maus after Mom fight ends.
Is your issue happening in Rep or Rep+?
