After installing mod, characters appear on top of objects, which they are usually behind

I have tried doing the same in my game without having the mod installed and in a clean savegame and it´s also happening.
I think its safe to assume its something currently affecting the base game.

It was fair to assume the mod did something wacky to the rendering
