In a somewhat related topic since you said that you are open for addon ideas like this; just curious, can you make an addon that resets every single object in a map (whether that object has been moved with the Physics Gun or even entirely removed)?
Suggestions for that addon:
1. That addon needs to be in the "options" tab of the context menu.
2. It should ask you whether you want to confirm resetting all the objects in the map or not, with the ability to turn off that confirmation dialogue (it should be set to on by default to avoid potential frustration).
3. Separate option to reset objects that have been moved from their original places and objects that have been entirely removed from the map (i.e. objects that are no longer part pf the default map).
