At least I'm not the only one. In a game I just started, I saw that there were "Metal" and "Rock" traits, but I got negative results for both...

I tried creating characters until I had one of the two, but no luck, haha.

There was a mod in b41 called Lifestyle Preference Ticket that allowed you to change music preferences ( https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3224041214&searchtext=lifestyle+ticket ), but it'd be nice if either that became b42 compatible or if the Lifestyle mod itself allowed it as an option during character creation or something.

Im not a modder and i dont think were allowed to change stuff, but if you open the PlayerTracker file, in Xpsystem, right at the top you can delete the music styles you dont want and leave the ones ya do.

If push comes to shove, you can enable debug mode to remove and add the preferred traits

Still wish it could be some sort of sandbox option or some sort of thing at character creation to choose what music you like and dislike.

Yeah, I just don't like that it's random for those cases and would just far prefer we can, like with the rest of our characters sort of make them how we'd like and that'd include the music choices IMO.

That's quite an odd oversight, I'm surprised. I understand the depth and specificity of music tastes is hard to express, but I'd favor just not having such a tastes system. Just play it out in game.

Nah, I'm a fan of the music likes/dislikes musical tastes system, especially for it doing things like relieving boredom and reducing panic and depression and generally boosting your mood, and giving it that bit of extra flavor I think helps.

Just wish it could be folding into the character creation somehow since that'd be an interesting way to give characters certain personality or to further RP a character by having them seek particular music, ect.
