Hi,

I had a problem myself where SW:EaW wouldn't start when I press play in Steam library.
If I started the game from the install folder and the .exe file there and clicked to load this mod I would get a crash to desktop.

The solution I found here on Steam in a discussion board:
Go into your game folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Empire at War\corruption
[ if C: is your install location]
and switch the names of the following two files:
StarWarsG
and
swfoc

Use the mod starting launcher text STEAMMOD=3387971722 on SW:EaW and your game and mod will finally run when yo u start them using Steam.
