I actually found out about that after I made the post. Now im using it and it works! I didn't realize the base native version of gmod was unstable

The main branch version of Gmod for Linux uses an outdated browser engine from 2012 (Awesomium) and is very unstable for a lot of people, but usually that happens by crashing on the main menu. If you were actually able to get into Sandbox on it, I would've expected Cloudbox to load and show the special "Cloudbox requires x86-64 branch on Linux" page.

I'm glad you have it working now though! Maybe we'll need to update it so Linux on main branch doesn't even attempt to load the site and shows a Lua-generated message about needing to use x86-64, so it doesn't cause crashes for users in that situation.
