Are you in the correct seat? If you are, there should be some sort of green box. If you can see that green box, then press "R" to start the engine. W = up/ forward. S = down/ backwards. D = Turn right. A = Turn left. Move the mouse to tilt the helicopter. The controls work basically the same with the plane.
The controls are easy to learn, but hard to master. Also, you probably want to download the official WAC aircraft pack. I uploaded this workshop item 2 years ago, but all I even did was place down some of someone else's helicopters and planes, on gm_flatgrass, so I don't even know how this got as much attraction as it did.
