I do think the Dair could do with a sound effect. Right now there is no sound feedback that the move is being performed and its slightly jarring.
I think he could use a little more jump height. His jumps are really heavy so he can't reach top platform on the training stage with his double jump. Maybe buff slightly but it depends on how good you want the recovery to be.
Uair having a cooldown makes sense, I definitely understand how you could just fly with that move if you could use it forever however I feel like it would be better if like Maypul Uair you can use it multiple times in the air but not gain any height from the second use onwards. I appreciate however that you may not know how to implement that.
DStrong isn't very good at killing. The move seems to be in an unusual spot to me. But maybe there's a reason for that that I haven't found.
The letters of the BOOM effect with UStrong are reversed if you are facing left. Maybe the effect should be drawn in post_draw so that you ensure it always faces the correct way.
That's what I have for now. Honestly foe a first character it's one of the better ones.
dstrong not killing very easily was because it heals 1 damage per hit, though with the healing items you can get already, ive kind of realised its a bit pointless...
i made his jumps heavier to represent his slowness from the games, but i do think his uspecial needs some tweaks to just be a better recovery to make up for that (i may buff his jump slightly though depending on how much better the recovery ends up)
i also agree with what you said about uair, though i may have to nerf some of the damage and knockback of it.
this character was a first proper attempt at a character (lucas was more of a test as i was still figuring out stuff) so i really appreciate your feedback! there are some flaws with the character (some i have noticed myself) that i will fix soon, whenever i have the time...
