The Frost Elemental figurine is cruel, obtuse, and beyond stupid.
Rewarding the player upon finding a secret with an item that you are simply told will allow "safe pass", when in actuality it deletes a boss fight and multiple secrets (with really good items) from the game with no way to undo it is just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to do. If you try to fight the boss and lose or reload for any other reason, you will immediately assume "safe pass" refers to disabling the floor vents, because that would make way more sense than a full boss skip. But no, now i'm locked out of 100% and some very strong gear because I assumed using an item wouldn't effectively delete content.

I think this is a bug... I tried it using an old save of mine and I could hear the secret door opening, like you were supposed to be able to get in there. Maybe he forgot to hook up the door that blocks the boss (and remove the boss, since it's still back there?)

If you're willing to using the console, you can open that door and fight the boss without the fanfare (or fire floors)

In actuality, it only locks you out of the Wizard's Virge, which is a game-breaking weapon anyway (it even kills bosses in one hit) and one piece of the Meteor Set (the shield). Fair enough, you will come up a secret short from missing the Fire Gauntlets, but other than that, you can still achieve any of the three main endings. :steamhappy:
