Development Status Update #2: 25/09/2024.
Hello everyone!

I thought that it was time to post a development update for the map to show you all that, yes I am still alive and that I have been busy working on this project still. I take great pride in my work so the updates will come slowly but rest assured work is being done and progress is being made.

So what have I got done in the last week since posting to the workshop?

To be honest... not much I can show you since it's all been bug fixes and other non-visual improvements. Since the base of the map is practically completed now there won't be any drastic shifts in map design or layout changes, though I have added a few new rooms, tweaked a lot of area's lighting and effects that were lacking and rebalanced a lot of the map that was fairly strong with camping spots for survivors.

Here's a small list of changes of the work that I have done (which I can recall off the top of my head.)

    Rebalancing:
  • Re-adjusted the number of weapons and ammunition spawns for Survivors.
  • Re-adjusted Zombie spawn locations mid-game after Survivors enter the office complex.
  • Removed a number of the explosive barrels located around the map for the public release on community suggestion.
  • Removed a number of barricade spawns and pile locations to rebalance and encourage players not to camp high profile camping areas.
  • Removed a number of lights to make certain areas darker for Zombies to hide in.
  • Re-adjusted the volume of the radio broadcast in the waiting room and also set it to a new trigger so that most players should get a chance to hear the broadcast sound play.

    New Additions:
  • Added new lighting effects throughout the entire map.
  • Added new secrets to find! See if you can find them all.
  • Flashing lights in the tunnels for the Zombies gawk at.... Just don't admire them for too long!
  • New Zombie spawn locations throughout the office.
  • A small number of new ragdolls and visual decals to help fleshout the maps dark history...

And that's about it for this dev-blog. I'm continuing my work on the map and will hopefully have a new version ready for release by the weekend for you all to enjoy.

New screenshots will be uploaded to the Discord to showcase the new additions and a few will replace some older screenshots in the workshop.

Further development status update for version 2. 27/09/2024

Greetings everyone!

The new build has finally entered into the final testing stages and is scheduled for a release later today (my time) and tomorrow morning (for those outside of Australia).

The above list is practically the same, you can check the workshop screenshots for a preview of what is to come in the new build for lighting and other effects. I expect the new version will have some additions that may change in future builds. I will gauge how I feel about these additions and from community feedback on whether they will stay or be removed in future builds.

Thanks for all the support, hoping that this new build will be as well recieved as the previous builds.
