Full Personal Review.
I wanna say, when I first found out about this I was super hyped and was looking forward to playing it..
However I kinda felt a little let down by some of the negatives that I had encountered during my playthrough.
Not to say its bad but definitely something that felt like was holding back the content from being the absolute best it could be.


To start off with the negatives, get the bad out of the way first.

Number 1 issue that made me wanna bash my own brains out is the camera system. This on paper works however the way it works in this campaign is so frustrating, sure I I could time the cameras by counting their rotation but how the f am I suppose to do that when I dont even see them half the time. This could be fixed by having the cameras shine a very dim light bright enough to let the player know that they need to be cautious.

Next up is the fact that you run into a puzzle and the game doesnt tell you, I guess again its sorta realistic but at the same time realism doesnt always mesh well with gameplay and since you have a guy over comms who always f'ing interrupts your movement which is unrealistic then why not add some dialogue for him mentioning "hey, looks like that door requires power" or something. Sure I didnt have to look at a guide but I was contemplating it.

Not really an issue but am disappointed with how I couldnt manually turn on off the flashlight and when losing the gun you just have no flashlight in darker areas to appreciate the environment.
I think adding the classic flashlight mod feature of having to double tap f in order to turn it on would be nice.

The story is great and all but the Zombie mode is actually kinda frustrating, and the guns that were used have trash reload speed which you can only just manage with a frame perfect knife anim cancel to reload slightly faster and thats if the Zombies dont reach you before than. That and the fact that because of the reloading being aweful with extremely fast zombies I find that I am reloading excessively when I see no zombies which doesnt feel realistic at which I feels like what this is trying to achieve. Thank god though that the Zombies are weak, I just feel the contrast between them being as fast as they are and as slow as this f'ing agents hands are you would think the adrenaline would hit but no!


Now although so far I have complained I will atleast properly review it since its always better to give feedback on everything..

The vibes and aesthetics and more specifically the entire level and story taking place within-side the Black Ops 3 universe with Coalescence is probably one of my most favoured things about this. Yes Bo3 campaign in terms of a Black Ops campaign sucks 4$$ however I didnt mind the campaign for just what it was which is why I like to see content for zombies taking place within-side the Bo3 Campaign itself.

The controls are interesting and wonky however they dont feel bad, it feels like I am playing from a BodyCam which obviously is very fitting, especially in the Zombies where I am swinging the gun around and missing my shots, it puts the pressure on and makes it feel more immersive and more panicked.

Another thing in the campaign before I move to Zombies, I absolutely loved the area at the end where you open a door through security which opens a smol maze like area and it hits the liminal backrooms vibes so hard! This should not be questioned at when I say you should 100% make that into its own full map (or maybe make it a Zombies EE so if you noclip you unlock an extra secret Zombies Mode).

I actually quite enjoyed the voice acting even if when the comm voice start talking you usually stop moving, I found to enjoy what they both had to say however, and even the fact that your operator talks and I would originally complain about that but thinking about it makes it kinda hilarious. Dude has one line which starts off with him grunting and saying something about 30 is the new 50 and thats it. I think thats like almost halfway through or atleast coming close to it. This also kinda reminds me of Doomguy/Doom Slayer from Doom Eternal. XDD

The Zombie mode although I did complain a bit about it however I do love the idea and also almost how it works, it brings something we havent truly seen in a Zombies mode since WaW and the start of Bo1 which is that true down to earth horror. It also feels like it has to some extent a feel for what Exo-Zombies, WWII Zombies and newer Zombies titles have, which is faster, more unpredictable Zombies.


Some suggestions if any are welcomed..

A feel to some extent something needs to be added for the Zombies, maybe a larger mag for the additional gun so the slower reload speed is made up for not having to reload for a bit. i wouldnt want to see the player given Speed Cola since that just doesnt do justice for what the Zombies is meant to be however making the player reload as often as to how fast the player can run out of ammo is just not great.

The Zombie models I feel could be changed to something that fits the vibes a little more, being the Nightmare Campaign Zombie Models since that is also Coalescence themed however I wouldnt be apposed to the WWII Zombie Models. Call of the Dead, Die Rise or even Mob of the Dead Zombie models may also fit as well. Aaaaand if you are trying to use something that makes the Zombies look like Scientists than werent there Zombie Models on Five or Ascension that had lab coats?



FINAL VERDICT: These are all just my opinions on how I felt when I played this and although half is negative that doesnt mean this aint worth trying..
I definitely recommend this and if someone where to ask what I would rate it, I would say its probably around 7.5 out of 10 (maybe an 8 but at the moment I feel like its not quite the seven nor the 8)..
Its infuriating but it is a campaign with a story, its free and can be very enjoyable..

I hope I mean no offence for this is only meant to be constructive criticism and did enjoy the mode..
This has a lot of potential and hope to see this get more updates or the very least a part 2, aaaand cannot wait to see the mod for any Zombies maps get released.. ^u^

As an edit;
I just beat the Zombie Mode Containment Breach just now, their isnt really a good spot to camp nor does the player run at a decent speed.
I had almost die several times to due to some spawns being too quick and me not knowing with the half millisecond of me turning around that a zombie had dropped down and was already done its recovery animation (How foolish of me to think the zombie would even have a reasonable recovery animation).
Alas even with the good of beating this mode and the bad of this mode feeling like its meant to be near impossible I would say my review for the most part still stands.

Still, had my fun with this map once more.. ^u^
