Hey! Here's a few issues or design choices.


1. If you're currently running the old, static version of FRUC, deactivate that sucker. Take it out to the pasture and shoot it. Whatever you need to do. Don't run this alongside the previous version.
2. BEFORE you do that, though, load your save and remove any items you wanna keep from vehicles. You might not have to do this, but better safe than sorry, dude.
3. Activate this version.
4. If you're not starting a new save, the animated vehicles will only spawn in areas that haven't loaded yet.

When you disable a vehicle mod, any spawned vehicles from it will turn into a random vehicle, but it tries to keep the same item type. Since some of the vehicles, like the heavy duty and military ones have unique tire types, they won't have any when it swaps to them.
There are a few ways to fix this. If it's singleplayer, you can turn on debug mode, then go into the area with the vehicles, hit f7, then refresh all. This will reset the damage for the vehicles, though, so keep that in mind.
Another way is to use debug mode, open the vehicle mechanics screen, right click and select mechanics cheat = true (or something like that), uninstall the wheels if they have something there, and finally right click them and hit repair part. This should work in multiplayer if you're an admin.

Nah. I've got noticable slowdowns compared to the non-animated version, but my CPU is about 10 years old, haha.
Other's haven't had any noticeable issues, though!

Thanks! It'll help me get the mod to be the best it can. Before you report it, though, please check over this section to see if it's already covered, something that can't be changed or a design choice. Also it could be a mod conflict, so please try making a new save with only this mod enabled.

Yeah, probably. I was pretty careful with overwriting anything vanilla, so unless you got a mod really mixing up the vanilla code, everything should be chill. However, anything that modded my other mod would need to be updated by those mod authors. So much has changed since the previous version that you should just pretend that it's a brand new mod.
So just to reiterate, any mod that modded my old mod will need to be updated to mod this mod.

Vehicles need a trailer hitch installed to town trailers, and not all vehicles can have a hitch.
I know people won't be big on this, but there's a good reason for it.
With the way the physics work, the faster and lighter a vehicle is, the better it is at towing.
This means a little sports car is the GOAT of offroad towing, and I ain't about that.

The best way I could figure out how to activate it was to detect if a nearby vehicle is a trailer or not.
Sometimes if there's a close vehicle, it'll check that one instead of the intended trailer.
There might be a better way to do it, but I couldn't figure it out at the time.
It shouldn't cause any issues, though. Just occasionally the jack won't visually go up or down when it should.

The devs haven't redone the vehicles yet, so the animations in are mostly from KI5 experimenting with some unfinished code, I think.
He did a wicked sick job, but some of the stuff is gonna be java side.
Editing that complicates installing mods and I'm pretty sure would conflict with any other java mods.
Everything should work fine for the player triggering the animation, but nothing will happen visually for other players.
I got a workaround! It's not perfect, though. The parts will flash into place for the players not using it.
DaNiG actually figured it out way before I did, so check out his mod "Syncing vehicle animations."
He said I could include it in the mod, but I'd rather just link to it unless I modify it. If I do, I'll update this.

That's pretty much it. The military vehicles and some other have unique tires, so they'll be more rare.

So the dual wheels are now individual parts.
You can drive a truck with just the inner tires, but the heavier it is, the more likely that sucker is to fly off.

Not all cars can have 'em, but a lot can. They should fall off if the cap or tire are at low durability.

There's no bed. Just use a seat and your imagination, haha.

Some vehicle categories might seem wrong, like fast muscle cars being standard instead of sport, but I based it more on how similar vehicles were mechanically. I kept most sedans with bigger, less complicated, low RPM engines as standard, while ones with more complex, tight tolerance, high RPM ones went to sport. For example, while the Chevelle is fast like a sports car, it's got more in common with an Impala than a Datsun 240z. The corolla behaves more like a standard, but the parts aren't even close to something like an 85 crown vic.
It's all vibes based, so it's not gonna be perfect. I wanted to keep things pretty vanilla and not have a bunch of new categories, though. Feel free to report any that don't make sense, I still mighta gotten a typo somewhere.

Yeah. I probably won't adjust that until b42 is in beta since a lot of stuff is going to change. I want to have to redo as little as possible. Until then, my dude made an addon with the spawns. Check it out!

It probably didn't jive with me and was old enough the whole model needed redone.

The player animations are untouched, so getting in and out of the vehicle, aiming a gun from the car or anything else might look weird.
Also your hair or hat might clip through the roof. I've added new poses to address this, but I had some reports that it was causing issues in multiplayer, so I reverted that. It's on the alpha build, and I'm just waiting on more testing before releasing it into beta. Until there, cut your hair, you hippie. And take that hat off inside.

The mod's in beta and it was fun. I'll probably remove it when it hits stable. Feel free to remove it or mod it out, though!
If you can't wait or don't know how to mod it out, here's a quick and easy guide to disabling the main menu change.

• Step 1: Subscribe to the mod.
  
• Step 2: On the main menu, go to mods.
  
• Step 3: Find Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars! - Animation Beta. If the mod is enabled, disable the mod. If it is not, skip to step 5.
  
• Step 4: Restart the game.
  
• Step 5: Choose solo.
  
• Step 6: Select Choose Mods...
  
• Step 7: Find Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars! - Animation Beta and enable it.
  
• Step 8: Play the game.

You're done! The main menu should be back to the vanilla version, and you can still use the mod. Enjoy!

These are some mods that'll go good with the mod. If you have any errors, especially relating to vehicle spawns, please test it without these mods before reporting it, though!
