Stats
PROS
  • While activate, indicates the direction of the up to 3 enemies (except cloaked/disguised spies) and team-mates nearest to you within a range of 2 control point diameters
  • When players are detected but are blocked from view by a wall, you are still able to see their outline *
  • When health is less than 40%, indicates the direction of the nearest Health Pack and/or Dispenser (both enemy and friendly ones) within a range of 3 control point diameters
  • Cloak functions similar to the stock Invisibility Watch
  • Cloak Meter can be refilled with Ammo Sources (i.e. Ammo Crates and Dispensers)
  • To activate detection, press and hold 5
  • To activate cloak, click Mouse 2

CONS
  • 20% shorter cloak duration
  • 33% longer recharge time
  • Cloak Meter receives 50% less recharge from Ammo Crates
  • While detecting player and health items, Cloak Meter recharge rate is slowed by 40%

STAT CALCULATIONS
  • Maximum Cloak Duration = 7.2 seconds
  • Recharge Time = 40 seconds
  • Recharge and Drainage Rates
    • Base Recharge Rate (Not Detecting)= +2.5% per second
    • Base Recharge Rate (Detecting) = +1.5% per second
    • Base Drainage Rate (Regardless of Detecting)= -14% per second
    • Ammo Crate (Large) = +50% per crate
    • Ammo Crate (Medium) = +25% per crate
    • Ammo Crate (Small) = +13% per crate
    • Dispenser (Level 1) = +5% per second
    • Dispenser (Level 2) = +10% per second
    • Dispenser (Level 3) = +15% per second
  • Player Detection Range (Radius)= 408 hammer units (i.e. 25.5 feet)
  • Health Item Detection Range (Radius) = 612 hammer units (i.e. 38.25 feet)

* This quality might make the device too overpowered, so I will leave it up for debate

Maybe something a bit more simple but still with unique abilitys.
Pros
Cloak drain is reduced the more you walk
Places a outline of a person on the enermy team that is within 3 control points
If you are 2 control points away from the person using special key(mouse 3) will begin a teleport effect. This will take 4 seconds to activate and will only go for the enermy closest to you. If they walk out of range it will deactivate the effect and will have to wait 10 seconds. If it does work you will teleport to them you will be cloaked instantly and gain a 30% speed boost, you can also walk throught enermys while this is happening(not sure if to make it so you can walk throught damage or not but you wont be set on fire or get jarate on you). after you uncloak (from it fully draining or uncloaking manually the effects will go away but you uncloak silently.30 or 40 second cooldown
Cons
Cant get filled up at despencers and gives only 50% cloak from anything that gives you cloak (This means you will get half of what it will give you if you had stock and only 7 cloak on hit from l'etheral *not sure if spelt it right*)
Regens at half speed
When the ability is ended (either by uncloaking or not working at all) the cooldown to use it also cant let you cloak
This would be a weapon that pinpoints players and let you wander round the map but you have to pay the price of it taking longer to use your cloak again.

So you have to focus on disguising .... not the best since people will normally spy check a lot of people and this would make it so you cant use YER (your eternal reward) since the YER only lets you disguise on backstab and alot of people have fun with YER so removing cloak makes it so you cant use in my opion a great weapon.

Honestly, there is no way to make this function without removing cloak, but there is already a wep that removes disguise so that should'nt be a problem. But the ability to see enemies and health packs through walls would be really cool

See enemies through walls, aesthetically shows direction on compass. Works like Dead Ringer, cannot attack while its out. 2 choices from here:
When damaged, you switch places with the person doing the damage, charge used up
OR
Uses up charge when out

Id go with switch places since this would be useful if hit by sniper but maybe just make it so this weapon takes longer to gain back the charge like 50% longer regen and -30% cloak from ammo boxes/weapons? or it has much less resistance then the dead ringer? because i think it would be a massive upgrade and downgrade with the ability alone but a downside like this would make it more fair. Great idea thought (a bit like my stats but i like this)

These stats seem fair but the extra idea i can see as a bit of a problem. You see the spy is the 3rd fastest class (if i remember correctly) so giving more speed when your out of cloak would make spy a bit annoying, I mean a speed item have been given to every class unless they dont need it or it seemed not that fair for that class, the engi sniper and spy dont have this for these reasons. But if we did use these stats with the extra the main problem is that you would have exactly 0.1 seconds since it recharges as soon as you uncloak... so how would that work?

But if we did use these stats with the extra the main problem is that you would have exactly 0.1 seconds since it recharges as soon as you uncloak... so how would that work?

Perhaps, instead of reducing the Spy's speed while cloaked, why not reduce his default speed by 15%? This would bring his speed down at 85%, which is slightly faster than a Soldier and slightly slower than a Demoman. This would make him less agile and more vunerable when defending himself, not to mention it would make him even more noticable while he is disguised with such a handicap (anyone with minimal experience playing TF2 would recognize a teammate moving slower than usual as a Spy in disguise; that's why good Spy's avoid disguising as Scouts).

So, what kind of benefit should he recieve for taking such a risk? Well, instead of recieving a speed boost when his cloak meter is empty (which would be inconvient and impratical), he should be rewarded with one of the following:
  • (A) Recieve a substancial speed boost while cloaked (say 25%, so he is 10% faster than he normal is)
    OR
  • (B) Match the default speed of any class while disguised as such, including Scouts and Medics (which move at 130% and 107%, respectively)
Either way, the Spy would recieve a speed boost for equipping this item, which inturn would allow more manuverability navigating on the battlefield, but would force him to be even more patient and calculating as he would be at a disadvantage if he errornessly places himself in direct combat with the enemy.

It just seems like you must be careful when you come up with the stats since having a downside that is countered to easily isn't really fair

A 10% increase is movement speed is not really that much to begin with (try playing Medic with your Overdose in hand and a full Uber charge, since it is the exact same speed boost percentage), so it would only let you travel slightly farther than you could with the default Invisibility Watch, regardless of what revolver you have equipped (btw, it's called the L'Etranger).

Hmm...well I now can think of at least situation that gaining a speed boost for disguising as a scout (and perhaps as a medic) could be abused; if you were to be revealed to the enemy team and they began chasing after you, quickly disguising as a Scout could give you just that little extra speed you need to keep yourself just outside your enemy's reach, making you an especially frustrating and elusive target for Spy-Checking Pyros and Engineers. Plus, once you've put enough distance between you and your pursuers, you can draw out your revolver, fire off several shots, redisguise as a Scout, and continue to flee until you have regained that comfort zone and resume the process again.

So to address this issue, how about the following counter-stats:
  • 50% longer to disguise (i.e. that would increase from 2 seconds to 3 seconds)
  • Movement speed while disguised is affected only when fully disguised (I could be wrong, but I believe you currently adjust your speed when you're about 3/4 disguised or after 1.5 seconds)

    OR

  • 10% damage vulnerability

At least you replied quite posatively and thanks for telling me the name of the weapon, I never can remember its exact name. Anyway the reason i found the 10% extra move speed annoying is because some people can predict where an enermy is going and how long it takes, speed boost weapons make it harder to judge but its easy to tell when they use it since you can see that weapon, but since this is a watch you have no idea what it is, unless its the dead ringer. Because of this you dont know how long it would take them while cloaked since well a bit of extra speed saved my life ....alot, but with a weapon an enermy player can predict normally if they would make it in time but with the invis watch its impossible to tell. with the counter stats you gave they seemed quite fair but for some spies they can easily use the disguise kit at the right time so longer time to get disguised isn't a big problem with soom spies while the extra damage taken does seem fair i was thinking something elsee.
1: While disguised you hold your weapon instead of the class you are (This is a bug i know but why not try and turn it into a reall stat or instead have it so spy holds a fake version of the weapon as the spy is disguised as like the heavys minigun looks mor wood like and with fists his hands are deformed or for a sniper rifle the barrel is bent?)
2:While disguised the spy gains the same movement speed as the person he is disguised as but he only gains this extra move speed if that class does not see him and when you select the disguise you cant change the disguise until its been 15 seconds.

Well i dont want to waste a slot to get a reskin of a weapon that when used properly will only see a bit of it since you use it when you are going to die
