my other idea would be Gnomes.
If you spawn one, they will duplicate themself every 10 min. and they spawn always behind you in a corner.

These melons cant path find

brick inside of a washer addon to make it go crazy and jump around and has a chance to actually follow the player while doing that and it'll become like a survival thing
