Your overhaul mods for this game are revolutionary to me and the friend I play with, we always play with your mods in every modpack, so we've seen the mod change over time and recently, for some reason, most of the plane modules in the designer are locked with a padlock symbol, even the advanced airframe and jets only have 4 slots for modules and no slot for the turbocharger in the mod.
I dont know if this is by design because of a new update, or an issue/bug that is currently being fixed, i could not find any update notes regarding a change like this and i would love to receive information about it, since its a pretty big change, even if the game is completely playable, it feels like a hard nerf of the old possible plane designs.

If this is caused by conflicting mods, the mods im using are:
RT56
RT56 Compatch you released recently
All RT56 variants of all your 3 overhaul mods
And all 3 of your Overhaul mods.
(I tried removing the rt56 variants, nothing changed. i tried switching the rt56 compatch to the normal compatch, nothing changed. i tried removing the normal variants and leaving only the rt56 variants, and the file didnt load for obvious reasons)

I would love it if you could help me and my friend, but if this is by design, its not the end of the world, your mod is still amazing, thank you for developing it, i cant play without it.

You don't need to use the Rt56 Variants of the Overhaul mods, in fact that might be causing your issues. If you could try removing them again and get back to me if it worked, you'd save me some trouble. I'll take a look at it from my end in the meanwhile.

It seems to be working fine on my end, so it might be caused by you using the outdated Rt56 variants. Remember, for the mod to work properly, you only need the ones that are listed on the Rt56 compatch page as requirements. Any more can quickly cause issues.

I saw that you edited the mods; If you copied the files into your mod folder, it might be causing interference with the downloaded version from the Workshop. In that case, I'd recommend you only have one set of files on your computer at one point in time, either the Workshop files or the edited ones in the mod folder.

Thank you for your quick and detailed response, I will try cleaning my mods folder and redowloading everything since the files changed a lot and I did edit the mods to test some bugfixes, I will post my results here after I do that. (I hope it fixes everything, but again, even if the bug persists, i will still play with your overhaul mods forever and ever)

I did my first test with 17 mods instead of the usual 25 i had in this specific RT56 playset before I cleaned the whole HOI4 workshop folder, in this playset, I used RT56, many misc mods, and all the normal overhaul mods and the rt56 compatch of them that appear in the collection created by Fabilie, the result is: The issue is fixed.
I will test it more with my other mods, and they might bug the game again, but that means the issue is not with Fabilie's overhaul mods, they work perfectly. It was probably issues with the folders, just like what the creator said, not an issue with the mod itself or updates.
Thank you very much for helping me fix the issue, I will go back to testing compability with my other favorite mods.

Now I will try making "Expanded Industry" and your overhaul mods compatible, editing the files and everything, might be possible, I will do what you mentioned I should try on the comments of the RT56 Compatch

It appears I crash whenever the USA completes the air focus that gives them the p-13, according to the error log it has to do with an invalid tech type. I am using the rt56 VNR, tom, and AOM compatch. I tried manually deleting the files for the Compatch, AOM, and RT56 (all of which could have caused this) and it still crashes. If you could fix that would be great!

I'm having a similar issue when the USSR completes their focus that spawns a new bomber squadron in Moscow, forgot the name but it comes after women in the air force, same play set as above, whats weird is it only happens when the AI completes the focus and not a player

You should join the official Overhaul mod Compatch discord, created by Fabilie, the mod author. They respond faster and you can also send them images about the error you're having and so on, it helps with communication, you can find the discord invite on all of their steam mod pages.

Hey as far as I can tell, AI don't use air doctrine at all. There are no AI weights in the aom_doctrine file. Sorry if this is a known bug/ WIP.

It seems after the most recent update at the time, I suspect the one on Sep 13, 2025. it locks the Tech tree to the short/Original tech tree. Previoulsy the modlist and all features worked fine with the extended tech tree. The Modlist is, "Road to 56, Road to 56 Expanded BBA Aitcraft Overhaul, Vanilla navy rework, NSB tank Overhaul, NSB tank overhaul - in depth designer, VNR RT56 Compatch. RT56 (VNR/TOM/AOM) compatch. with all the mods enabled the tech tree specificaly science part is limited to vanilla while before the update it worked just fine.
