Fix for missing gear / black screen
BLACK SCREEN / MISSING ICON FIX - not a definitive answer but I have just experienced this for the first time on a new machine. It is happening when both Bannerlord and the Workshop are on the C:\ drive. Moving both to a separate drive (in my case D:\) has fixed the issue. I am testing on a laptop so I simply created a new partition and moved bannerlord to it - problem solved.

couldent do the last part for some reason wouldent show up and not very clear

not for me sadly, its on my G: drive and i fully uninstalled entire bannerlords and mods then re-intstalled. made sure load order was set in steam AND in the taleworlds launcher because im not sure which has priority

Fix was to move the steam downloaded mod folder to the Banner-lord location and unsubscribing from the mod.
All assets loading properly

The fix was harvested from this youtube vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVekbsVn3fo

I can confirm that this works. I had the same issue, and Steam etc. is already installed on a non-C-Drive, but still missing stuff etc. until I followed the instructions from this specific video.
