I don't think they're meant to be put under bright lighting.

im talking about that the textures are 512 x 521
i think that they are suppose to be at 2048 x 2048

I'm Sorry but i cannot increase the resolution of the textures for the models or else they'll get all messed up.

Well I can tell you what I did at least, then maybe you could understand the solution.

First i grabbed the Freddy texture, a PNG file version, imported it into VTFEdit, before i pressed "OK" I changed the Maximum Width and Height From 512 512 to 2048 2048, then I Pressed OK, then I overwritten the newly sized Freddy texture over the old 512 512 sized Freddy texture, then i booted up SFM and checked to see if it worked, and Freddy was completely black until i zoomed in closer to him and his materials faded in a bit.

i think thats the problem, your puting it to low for it to be small like that, maybe try putting the maximum to either by 1024 x 1024 or 2048 x 2048

because the max width and hight is 4096 so your pc may be slower than mine

but if you can maybe i can help like i said and make the vtfs for you
