Confused About Assemblers and Refineries
I've tried cargo containers with ingots in them on every one of the assemblers inputs but it won't pull from any of them if I turn "Use Conveyor System" to off like it says to do in the mod description. What am I missing? The only other mod I'm using is the Caldari Skybox.

Ok it seems I missed one of the inputs. I put a cargo container on it and it started pulling ingots. Strangely this input is considered the "top" input but is actually on the side if you go by how the assembler model looks when it is half built.

Ok and now it's not working again. I have no idea how to use this mod with refineries and assemblers with "Use Conveyor System" turned off on them. They just simply stop pulling ingots and ore out of any cargo containers attached to them on any port if those containers are set to have ore and ingots sorted into them (kind of the point right?). I'm baffled.
If you want the assemblers to do their normal thing, leave conveyors on. If you want to control what ingots assemblers pull, turn conveyors off and add sorting tags to your assemblers.

For example:
Assembler 1 [Ingot:P2:10,Iron:1000,Cobalt:200,Nickel:200,Silicon:50,Silver:25,Stone:100,Uranium:1]

Ok thanks I think I understand now. I have to use priorities to get the assembler to pull something like (Ore/Iron) out of a container that is also set to collect (Ore/Iron) otherwise nothing happens.

Yes, if you have two containers with the same priority that want the same thing, they will not steal inventory from each other. But if you raise the priority of one of them, then the higher priority container will pull stuff from the lower priority container. With these features you can setup very complex sorting logic.
I feel I should point out, it does not matter which ports you use. All blocks with ports on them will act as conveyors between other blocks.connected to those ports. Nothing has dedicated input or output ports (with the obvious exceptions of connectors, ejectors and collectors).

Sorry if you already knew this but from your earlier posts it seems like you didn't.

I was just going by what it says in the mod description. It says only the "top" ports. I'll be honest and say I have no idea what that means.

Edit: Looks like that is gone now.

Stone Cold Jane Austen, what is the 10 for in the example you posted above? I understand the rest of it but I can't figure out what that 10 does.
The "top" part was referring to the input inventory (ore storage in refineries, ingot storage in assemblers).

The 10 in Ingot:P2:10 is setting the quantity of each ingot type to pull (at priority 2). I then override the quantity for most ingot types (except gold, magnesium and platinum).

do they really pull 10 for u when u enter 10? when i enter 100 they pull 200 of most stuff and 700 of other and 100 of maybe 1 or 2 item types :)
Yes, it pulls 10. I have conveyors turned off on the master assembler, and on for the cooperative assemblers (they won't build anything if they have conveyors turned off). The cooperative assemblers may occasionally pull a little extra through the conveyors when producing large numbers of certain components, but it's not that common.

wth! why do the pulling amounts freak out on all my settings?

Arc furnace 40(Ore/Iron:500:p4) does not pull 500 iron ore... it pulls 5k+ iron ore but not pulling until full inv. (conveyors are OFF)

Arc furnace 31(Ore/Nickel:10:p4) pulls 60 nickel ore

Refinery 01(Ore:50:p7,stone:ignore,iron:ignore,nickel:ignore,cobalt:ignore) pulls arround 100-300 of every allowed ore

that problems exists from the start of using the mod and i got no idea why :)

(impossible to use modded assemblers because i have to experiment with the value of every ingot type and set a special amopunt for every type :( )

sorry for bad english :D

Any other mods? I know if I activated the capacity warning mod on any container, it would stop pulling.
Boo 6. nov. 2014 kl. 10:23
nope. i like it vanilla but i didnt like 700+ cargos with 5 pieces of construction material :)

Are you on dedicated server? I found a bug in max amounts on dedicated servers only that needs to be fixed.
