Load Textures on Demand can either be turned off or on. For some it works when it's disabled, for others it works when it's enabled. It depends on your rig.
Threaded Optimization can also be the reason. For some it should be disabled, for others it should be enabled. This also depends on your rig - some rigs don't have this option (mine doesn't), but it'll have another CPU setting instead (Force Single Threading). Try disabling/enabling that one.
Those are the two fixes I find to work most of the time. Just try launching the game with those disabled or enabled. I received the same error to begin with. My fix was to enable Load Textures on Demand.
For someone who isn't techy...how do I do these? Is it a game setting or a computer setting?
