Im curious if we need to finish a specific kind of a side quest to create our own Fortified Encampment?

Do we really need to defeat the final boss of Perisno and use his secret lair as a fortified encampment it we defeat him in the final confrontation.

Hint: (You Need 4000 Renown to trigger this epic quest)

So go to Discord, they have the map of all avaliable encampments. You can conquer them apparently, i.e. you do not build them, they are in predefined spots. Hint: explore wilderness.

Thanks. I found some more later and figured out how they work. I have yet to find all of them, but I think its a neat feature (except for that I can only control one at a time). They remind me of the minor locations from the Gekokujo mod except instead of providing weekly troops or goods they offer money.
