play on the previous version, you can find it on nexus or moddb, its pretty useful

Also, place the mod(s) in the module folder in the Game directory to avoid steam updating them automatically if you're using steam workshop only

Could you maybe just reserve workshop updates for genuine big changes? Like if it isn't important package it in bigger updates instead of smaller updates every other week. My playthroughs often are over a week or 2 so it would be annoying if they'd always break.
