If you're talking about the Zann pretty much all you can do is lower campaign AI and use cheats to kill soldiers one wave at a time. The Zann invasion is pretty OP but it's meant to be a challenge for the player. If you don't like spending like half an hour at a time killing thousands of Zann in defensive sieges then you pretty much need to use cheats.

Also the Zann generals get 2 escorts each so you want to keep them prisoner for as long as possible so they don't literally respawn 1000 troops

If you're talking about the Zann the best way to deal with them is to sit in a town or castle and build that blacksmith in it. Then just get a bunch of archers or crossbowmen and pelt them. The Zann don't have any heavy infantry so archers do a lot of damage to them. If you're playing as the Elintor you're in luck as they're the most op faction in the game currently. If you think the Zann are OP then I highly suggest you do a playthrough as them, you'll regret it.

By no means was I saying that their troops are good, the problem with the Zann isn't their troop quality, it's that their generals spawn with so many troops that you can't cripple them like you would other factions and since they're specialized for field battles you literally need to sit there mowing down Zann in defensive sieges for hours. They get too much of a troop quantity handicap and it makes fighting them tedious.

I agree with this, just used to put on music of battle-esk midevil mute game and fight and kill tooootaly loseing odds for Hours till they were dead...But yep if its off of a War Style...it works dam Fing good.
