Flamethrower with GL Skin (Knife)

Bug report
Flamethrower stops working after unspecified ammount of time, stops shooting completely and plays idle animation and in third person it plays attack animation

To get the flamethrower to run you need to
1. Subscribe to the addon
2. Load a map (flamethrower broken)
3. Go back to main menu and unsubscribe from the addon
4. Load a map (flamethrower works)

I'll try to check it. Normally the flamethrower script would load on each stage even without subscribing/ unsubscribing.

After furthermore testing ive found out that only the first load-up presents the broken flamethrower, second load makes it work, but all i can do is get on Menu, subscribe and unsubscribe, then load a map and then re-load the map and it works

I just finished checking on map 1 of Hard Rain & then continued to map 2. Both maps loaded the flamethrower perfectly even without checking/ unchecking or subscribing/ unsubscribing. It's sure a strange case. Which maps did you play when this bug happened?

happened on Dead Center first map constantly, after that i kept trying on tumtara and as of now it seems to magically work again

Ok I'll check Dead Center. Probably I'll send a demo file here later via mediafire link so you can see it yourself in case if the mod works during my test.

The issue only happens upon the very first load of the game, after first joining a map and then leaving the issue is fixed, the initial issue happens only upon a fresh game start

Also a small suggestion/proposition could you maybe decrease the spawn rate of the knife or make the knife 50/50 with the machine gun/grenade launcher

This mod doesn't change the spawn rate of the knife & the real GL, so if there are some GL flamethrowers found along the way, it's the default L4D2 spawn rate. But it's a different thing if the real GL replaces other spawns (for example, GL replaces incendiary ammo pack or chainsaw spawns)

(change the * with dot). Only watch this demo in the beginning, because my game lagged a bit after going down with elevator.

Seems to "somehow" conflict with this addon, as it both breaks the flamethrower on first load and both breaks the mechanics of the refered mod

I tried many times to remove the knife from spawning with command
director_cs_weapons

But it keeps spawning everywhere

Last observation for the same reoccuring bug with no-shooting:

Upon the map loading the flameth. Is glitched but merely restarting the map using admin system or killing everyone on map can make the weapon work

My suggestion for fix:

Make the script load few seconds after the map load to "overwrite" it "on top" to make it the last script to load

But im not a programmer i dont know 🤷

Now this is a new thing. Probably this mod breaks the flamethrower because of the hints keeping popping up like that, but I'm still not sure. I'll try to test this mod.

Knife is categorized as melee, so I'm not sure if it can be removed because director usually spawns random melee based on the available melee weapons on a campaign.

But that's strange, because on that demo, I used weapon inventory mod too. Have you tried to put the flamethrower on the top of the order of mods so it will be loaded first?

Ive tried multiple times to re-order the load order and also attempted redownloading multiple addons, Yet it seems like the weapon inventory is in conflict with other mods, im proposing it might be a Left4Lib issue mixed with all the other addons such as struggle to escape seem to bug out, ive kept all the mods and simply removed the Weapon inventory mod and everything works perfectly fine now
