- the shields have a setting called "ignore battery power input" which is there if the shields should ignore the power the batteries need for recharge or not for its power usage calculations which influences if the batteries can charge or not.
- there is a setting to set a manual power input for the shields to use and that one can be set so that the grid can still produce enough power for the batteries to charge and it just needs a bit of calculation, switching the shield from automatic to manual, decide on a power scale variant (mw, kw, gw . . . ) and a power value.
- you could set the batteries up that the are on recharge if theyre power is not needed.
i for my part did so far no encounter that my batteries didnt recharge when properly setting up things, even when the batteries are on automatic.
as for reporting bugs:
the steam discussion area is a bit limited for that in a more than one way:
- you only get infos on stuff you activly decide to follow and thus new discussion are easily going under
- you cant easily attach stuff like logs and need to go via third party tools for it
- you are quite limited in the length of what you write and thus some stuff needs to be cut into multiple messages
if you want to report issues or bugs you found the preferable place for that is the discord linked inside the moddescription including logs and an example world (a world with just the mods needed to reproduce a problem and a premade situation where the problem can be reproduced) so that it can be properly investigated or if the solution is already known the proper assitance can be given.
