[IMPORTANT] How to properly reset your save file
Read this first before doing anything else. If this solves your issues, you won't need to reset your save file.



Follow these steps for a clean save file
  1. In Steam, right-click on Brotato
  2. Click on Properties
  3. In the already selected General tab, turn OFF Steam Cloud storage
  4. Then navigate to Installed Files
  5. Click on Verify integrity of game files


Navigate to your "%appdata%/Roaming/Brotato" folder

Delete at least these 2 folders or their content:
  • The numbers folder (EG, mine is: 76561198037658771)
  • logs

Start the game!


Optional step:
Turning on Steam Cloud storage after starting the game at least once

I tried the first list of steps, which accomplished nothing. I couldn't even find the appdata folder and definitely don't feel comfortable deleting progress data. I hope there's a way this mod can work again for those of us who played it before, but I think I'm giving up on it now. Besides, I remember how annoying the RNG challenges were the first time and I definitely would prefer not to repeat them. Thanks for the fun mod; I hope it improves!

What do you mean with "this mod can work again for those of us who played it before"? Which mod are you referring to?
