Winter Costume FAQ
I'm sure there will be questions about this collection that aren't answered in the main description. I'll try to anticipate them here.

Why didn't you add the skin I suggested?
I'll do my best to communicate with people who leave suggestions, but in general, most skins are going to be rejected for not being "vanilla" enough. They're too visually busy, they're too out-of-character, etc. I'm very picky about matching the characters' personalities and the game's original art style.

Why isn't Francis wearing a coat?
Because it's funny! I know some people will say it's "unrealistic" or whatever, but I think it's 100% in-character. I've seen plenty of tough guys in real life wear T-shirts and shorts in the winter. It's not logical to dress down in the winter, but Francis is not a logical person. I'm confident that he would prefer to keep his vest on no matter how cold it gets because wearing a jacket is for sissies.

Are these skins canon to the story of Freezing Point?
No. This collection has been curated for Freezing Point by its original author, but these mods were not created specifically for the campaign — there are plenty of small changes I would make if I could.

As much as I'd love to create high quality, vanilla-style winter outfits for all eight Survivors myself, I have neither the skills nor the collaborative spirit to make it happen. These skins represent the hard work of others, so I don't think they should be an integral part of a campaign I made as a solo project.

Why is Dr. Gaben the thumbnail picture for this collection?
I needed a placeholder photo and now I like it too much to change it. Isn't he glorious?

It's been suggested before, but the new pants and shoes look out-of-place to me. Everything is too clean and bright to match the rest of the game's vanilla textures. It's not bad obviously, but not what I'm looking for.

ChimiChamo just released a mod for ellis of him wearing his overalls, would you consider replacing your original pick for ellis' outfit or are you fine with leaving it as is? I'd love to hear your thoughts

There are a lot of "Ellis in his coveralls" mods out there, but I ultimately declined to use any of them because the coveralls make him monochromatic and hard to see in the dark. I'd always mistake him for a zombie in my peripheral vision lol

I'm not 100% happy with the oversized camo hoodie, but it's visually distinct and I can say from personal experience that a guy like Ellis would definitely wear it.
