As the years go on, very few pieces of media move me.

This gmod map was one of those pieces of media.

The experience, the emotions, the MUSIC, and tragic Inno. The realization that the entire time, she was speaking directly to you through the music. I haven't felt this awe-struck since Nier: Automata. Music truly elevates something good into something great.


I honestly feel like I could make a video essay on the voidmall and Inno. She's just so well written (even with a lot purposefully left up to interpretation).

She's cripplingly lonely and tries to make the mall as welcoming as possible to the first visitor in such a long time. But as you continue to try to find the exit, she grows desperate and tries to comfort you. But even though it causes her immense grief, she finally tells you how to leave and pretends that she wants you gone. Once you grab the key, she has the entire mall direct you to the exit as she hypnotically sings "Go away, leave me alone."

Just before you open the exit, she puts on one last brave face and tells you, happily, to leave. But if you look back right before leaving, she completely loses her composure, her human features twisting monstrously... yet even as a monster, her face conveys an expression of unbelievably deep sadness and loneliness.


She could have easily trapped you or stopped you from leaving. But not only does she not do that, SHE HELPS YOU LEAVE EVEN THOUGH IT HURTS HER SO MUCH ;_;
AND SHE ACTS LIKE SHE'S FINE BUT SHE'S NOT ;_____;
SHE JUST DOESN'T WANT TO BE ALONE ;__________;
