Hi, thanks for reporting! Could you please elaborate? Do you have any other mods installed? Did the game crash, are you able to relaunch? What operating system are you using? I did test on a new save on someone else's computer for a good bit of gameplay, including unlocking and purchasing the plain cookie upgrade, so I'm wondering how I can reproduce this for testing :)

EDIT: Tested on a clean save this morning on Windows 10 with the only mod installed being Cookie Valley and could not reproduce. Anyone able to reproduce this or provide further details, please feel free!

I have Horse's cheat menu installed and am on windows.
And the game just, broke, graphical glitches and no response, had to hard reset it.

Edit: I also had CCSE, looks like that was the culprit, I disabled just CCSE and that fixed it.

Ah yes, I haven't tested for conflicts with other mods that might hook into certain functionality (like the news ticker, for example). Thank you for following up! I will add a note to the description explaining the possible conflict.

I just had this crash as well. CCSE (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2685465009) is a modding framework so a lot of mods depend on it.

Might be worth mentioning the CCSE incompatibility/crash if this isn't something you plan on fixing. It's also technically possible to keep playing on the save if you re-enable Cookie Valley after buying the Plain Cookie upgrade, but from what I can tell loading the save from file/code after the Plain Cookie upgrade is purchased can trigger the exact same crash.

This is one of the coolest mods on the Workshop for CC though, so thank you.

Ah shoot, yeah, I don't really have time to investigate if there's a solution that will allow both to function correctly (I had to do a couple of hacky things to get all of the content replaced without any visual glitches because of quirks in the source code).
