Not a track request, but if there could be some option to remove duplicate cassettes and vinyls that would solve a big headache for me. Arranging by weight and opening individual items kinda works for me me, but because of all the music I installed and picked up, I ended up unloading all my found tracks into the jukebox because there's just too many to keep track of myself, but my potato of a pc lags so hard when I open up the JB inventory it takes forever to actually sort through.

A one-click remove duplicates would still make my computer spit smoke, but I could go do a load of laundry while it gets sorted. Maybe also an option to dis-allow adding tracks that it already has in it would also be very nice.

This feature is now live. Additionally, you can one-click load uniques (stuff that is not already in the target container).

Hello ma friend, first i wanna thank you for great mod, and wanna suggest you one thing.
Would be nice to add for jukebox an option to broadcast songs into radio channel.
Two options, first play music and broadcast to radio.
And second only broadcast music to radio.
It would be great if this option supported stereo sound, instead of stupid 3D, with the option remaining that the radio would attract zombies.

Unfortunately the stereo sound setting is highly dependent on knowing the location of the sound the entire time it plays, and moveable sound sources (like radios) would be very difficult if not impossible to sync this way for large servers.

That said, Norby DID make a True Music Radio mod that IS capable of broadcasting True Music via radio channels.

ye i use this one, problem of that mod is if you wanna broadcast specific pool of cassettes you have to drive to radio tower or teleport to it, and ppl just can troll you by removing all cassettes from radio tower.

Yeah, I can see how that could get old on a larger server especially. If I can think of any creative and safe ways to broadcast to radio channels someday, I'll consider it, but I doubt we could safely sync the audio while radios are in motion because we would have to ping the server continuously for a reliable, shared radio x, y, z from which to run the calculations required for our stereo audio mode in TMJ.

I think simplest solution would be to leave the 3D sound of the radio when moving, but if you put it on the ground or on a table it will switch to stereo mode. This will help players listen to their favorite music from afar, in rooms where there is no space for a jukebox.

The tough part there is distinguishing between radios that are moving and radios that aren't programmatically, as well as turning off the sound under the many circumstances that can remove that radio from its old position. It is probably doable but it is muuuuuuuuuch easier to say it than to do it.

Also, it would be especially complex to run the audio volume calculations in conditions where say players are playing the same radio station from 5 or 10 places in the same cell without burdening the server or the client.

Totally sympathize. One of the many, many things I wish it were easier to do via modding in Zomboid. Your ideas would definitely be fun if we could get them running well.

Hey dude, love the mod and how you done things with it. The extra bonus that it works with Lifestyle is a amazing!

I only have one little request which is niche. Is it possible to have the option to disable the Jukebox hero trait by any chance?

The reason for this is because I use a mod for my server that lets you purchase trait points in-game. However, mods like this that add items as a trait are incompatible with it. Also just makes finding a Jukebox more of an item to me you know? Hope this isn't too much trouble and keep doing what you do!

I'll look into it when I have time. I do have several things on my modding agenda right now, so I can't promise to get to it super soon. If anyone solves it and sends me working code for it, I'll patch sooner.

It would be awesome if there was a Jukebox for the car stereo. Or even a mix tape stereo with a more limited capacity would be better than nothing.
