While the "stay stationary ability" is great, it would make more sens to me, for the lascannon, and possibly other heavy weapon, to be deployable at a given position, instead. Once deployed, it could be, of course, undeployed and used as usual.

This would allow to leave the weapon in-place, as long as needed and would mirror some of the weapon from the Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Security mod.
