Collected Suggestions
Suggestions are a little too scattered and repetitive, I'm spending the time to gather them up and note the reasons they are not already in yet, if there is a reason. Hopefully the majority of people will read this list before making a suggestion that has already been said.

Keep in mind that the list will change as Space Engineers develops, some things may be possible in future that aren't currently. The quotes by me are generally my own opinion, Quegga has final say on what goes in, anything that isn't going in this main mod I might add as a separate mod.

    No idea if it is even possible currently, I can think of a way it could hypothetically be done but it would look terrible and definitely not worth the effort.

    Regarding hand weapons: those currently cannot be modded.

    This is possible, but the implementation wouldn't be good (would expose location of gates to all players within radius of both gates). Definitely wouldn't be on by default.

Personally, I don't think these should be put in as a mod, they are mostly buildable using the vanilla game and quite frankly I think they destroy the point of the game itself, want them? Build them. It is of course up to Quegga if they are to be added in future though.

making such large 3d models is very difficult. You could build them with blocks ;) whole operational ship-models are very hard to make

Are you guys interested in contributions of Models/Textures? I was considering adding some of the above stuff to the game before I looked at this thread.

I was also planning on releasing a complementary Naquadah/Trinium/Neutronium Materials pack with a 2.5 ore to 1 ingot ratio and a 120 sec conversion time instead of the conversion from precious metals. I could Kludge my way around the way the Production Facility works, but I thought I'd give you guys the opportunity to incorporate it here if you are interested.
Proposed: 3 Mats, 3 Ingot Models, 3 Ingot GUI Icons, 3 Component Models and Component Icons.
Change to existing definitions:a couple sbc edits to 5 files.

I got most of the Naquadah done last night. Still need to do the ingot/component models. I was also thinking control crystal components would be neat to add along with alloys for Asgard blocks if you have a use for them.

I've had a lot of downtime recently due to computer/internet/general life problems so I'm not up to date on what's happening but the source is not public, if you want to join the team and contribute thought you'd probably be best contacting Quegga.

Considering the sizes of vanilla small blocks, particularly the large aerial engines and wheels, could we get a larger standard gate? like... a new class of gate size, larger than the current standard but obviously much smaller than supergates, that is more accomodating to vehicles. It'd also be nice if someone could update the main post here, since several of the planned additions have been released.

i'd also like to suggest Trinium armor also the Asgard in the show made the Oneill with a naquaduh, neutronium and trinium alloy that's very strong, so maybe the Trinium armor is like 3x stronger (and heavier) than SE's heavy armor, then the alloy would be 3x the trinium armor or something along those lines, i don't know the armor differences between light and heavy, maybe keeping with that ratio would be good
