However, every good mod isn't without a few tweaks that could be made! Here's a few I have!
First off, the detection for this thing is off. I can spawn it and it never seems to notice me unless I go up and bump into it which seems to set it off. Otherwise, shooting or making noise, pointing a light at it, running around in it's line of sight, or damaging it doesn't seem to do anything. Hope this gets fixed! (Also to add onto it, I don't know if you can, but if you manage to stay out of this thing's sights for a while, or get in an area it can't seem to get you, maybe it loses you or wanders off until it finds you or hears you again?)
Second, from what I noticed, it lacks any sort of idle animations, unlike it's BP contemporaries. When it's not on the hunt, it does walk around, but does not do anything else. If you are able to add an idle animation or two, standing or walking, that'd be cool! (Oh, and the crawl run is just a sped up crawl animation, a galloping/rushing animation could be really cool as a replacement.)
Third, it seems to only have a few limited sound bits it cycles through per activity, perhaps adding a few more depending on what it's doing might help out a bit.
Just a little nitpick of mine, but the thing accelerates WAY too fast, when I do finally piss it off I only have a few seconds to run before it instantly sprints and catches up to me, and then it devolves into me dodging its rushes rather than running from it. Making it take longer to reach top speed or only making it a tad bit faster than a player's runspeed might help with this issue.
Finally, despite having a crawling animation for when it's stalking you, the Indoraptor never actually puts it to use when following you. If you get anywhere slightly shorter than you, it never crawls to chase you down, and it kind of just runs in place until you leave or it forces itself in by sheer will. Adding the capability of it crawling into tight spaces would both allow it to better chase players and would be TERRIFYING in more claustrophobic maps.
Some extra quick suggestions (some of which are basically just BP Nextbot inspirations):
Perhaps the head can track the player? Makes it look more aware as it spots you and chases you.
A first person kill for players or humanoids?
Maybe does not instantly chase the player? Crawls and stalks the player before charging at them until it kills them or the player escapes? But, if you shoot it while its stalking or maybe flash a light at it, it gets enraged and charges early?
Thats all the suggestions I have, love the nextbot and keep up the amazing work dude!
