There are already plenty of Asian weapons, cosmetics, maps, and weapon skins in TF2.

It is not far-fetched for the mercs to have stuff beyond their native cultures, and would greatly enjoy them.

The Vive La France is an all-class, and most of the characters insult Spy for being French. Why is it so bad for the mercs to wear a Japanese Mask, which can be bought as a novelty item?

just like how the breakneck baggies was for the scout only, and the dead of night for the spy, they got updated for whatever reason to be all-class, and it didn't help.

i am definitely awake, and im not sure what anything you said has to do with anything i said. Some classes, have cosmetics that have little to nothing to do with their own culture. For example, the Pyro who is all about fire and destruction and cute magical rainbow sunshines and all. Yet, has multiple cosmetics related to Japanese, Mexican, Greek, Medieval Europe; just to name a few. And fun fact; all of the cosmetics I am alluding to, were added before Valve started to neglect TF2.

compare apples to oranges in terms of thematically fitness onto the classes. the pyro could wear a boot on-top of his head and nobody would have rolled an eye on it, because everyone outside his fantasy views him as madman.
this cosmetic comes out nothing but as "oh my hecking japan ^^", lacking any substance thanks to it being all-class, and to begin with i'd doubt a kitsune mask would fit any of the 9 mercenaries.

and that is what ruins many cosmetics to the ground; they get associated with bad actors within the community who just have to be "IN YOUR FACE" about them being [X] and [Y].

look at all the countless animal head cosmetics spewed out in the past week, and the comments section of them just being filled with people that either dont play the game or just want a reaction out of the people who actually care about the morse-leftover of TF2's integrity, the masses who dont care at all are always in charge of everything.

honestly these lil snippets are quite cute since it heavily suggests that you did not read and/or understood what i said at all. i literally said what Pyro's theme was, and i never said he was a blank slate??? i just said that they had multiple cultural references that was not apart of his original theme.

well yeah I agree with you on that. in fact thats why he literally has a cosmetic of that. i dont know what you're arguing here because the point being is that the Pyro has no cultural background in the first place, and seemingly adopts to any they latch onto. so honestly, if anything, it would make sense for her to even wear *this* piece. 1. all-class hats can have plenty of substance, don't let bad examples distract from the genuinely good ones.
2. and sure, let me try to steel man this; kitsune spirits are usually depicted as mischievous or playful, and the way how most of the mercenaries interact, banter and taunt at each other is like a crucial part of the game's identity. a mask that literally encompasses that concept is quite fitting.
so there, that was somewhat fun.

I won't make the same mistake OP did, I won't waste my time arguing with you, nor will I waste my time typing out something I already explained before, I'll paste one of my previous comments and that'll be it.

9 times out of 10, the kind of feedback Carlos gave is a complete waste of time, most people that dish out gimmicky, wacky cosmetics, don't care about feedback, just about patting other similar workshoppers on each other backs, try to "troll" people that care about the game, making said items, or are just way too thickheaded to take any form of criticism to heart.

Tldr, giving in-depth criticism to most workshoppers that makes gimmicky wacky cosmetics is a waste of time, they don't give a single damn about criticism or about what fits the game.

sadly, alot of people come out of the bush with sentimental thoughts on behalf an item, everybody's got biases, that is undeniable truth.

logic? on an internet argument on polygons whatever or not it fits the theme of 30's-60's spytech industrialism with inconsistent themes and media references? yeah thats my fault for loudmouthing.

sometimes, you dont need to go into detail on why a certain cosmetic sucks, whenever it is a "companion in your pocket / shoulder / you name it", a "reference to media that is way out of the time frame or theme", a novelty item referencing a gimmick, the list goes on. why write a novel on why every aspect of a cosmetic is bad, when a general "no" just means that theres problems with the item in general, fundamental issues per say.
