*The Commonwealth of Drongos*
While some say it's no different from your usual Kestrel nation, the history and uniqueness of the Commonwealth has merited it the nickname 'Drongos' among many people. The ever rising threats to the aging empire's stability in all manner of shapes from religious fanatics, to regional nationalist bearing arms against the monarch have forced the Commonwealth to concede their imperial and colonial policies in a move to desperately lift the sanctions laid upon them by the IPC.
While it has Indeed been lifted, the scars from it's enforcement are still evident. Even though they are rich in natural resources, decades of sanctions have taken a toll against the Commonwealth's economy, which is reflected back on their military who are still using old surplus equipment supplemented with limited domestically produced weapons. With the lifting of sanctions, military assistance from the Union and Federation have slowly began trickling in their doctrine. Adopting a fighting strategy well suited for their limited equipment with the expertise of the Federal Congress and the Union council, their combination of speed like the Kestrels and punch of the two giants have been the staple image of your average Drongo rifleman with his trusty MOWA.
The sight of Drongo grunts reusing captured weapons from insurgents who threw them while fleeing, is the hallmark of most operations. Just as a drongo scares away other animals from their food, so too do the Commonwealth in the name making do with what's avaliable.
the general idea is that it's one nation that is trying to keep a hold of it's collapsing empire
or that kinda thing
the guy who made the idea of the drongos is a buddy of mine.
